Profondo x Songbird (Black Minnaloushe) Filly

We’re thrilled to announce our latest purchase from the NZB Karaka Book 1, a Profondo filly out of Songbird for NZ$425,000 (approx. AU$370,000)

We purchased this filly for the following reasons:

• Impeccable confirmation, this filly stood out to us for her incredible action, balance and correctness
• She is ½ sister to five winners, including G1 Thorndon Mile winner STOLEN DANCE, who was G1 placed on three occasions and amassed nearly half a million in prizemoney
• Her sire PROFONDO was a $1.9 million Magic Millions Yearling who won the G1 Spring Champions Stakes at just his 3rd career start
• Her grandsire DEEP IMPACT has sired 208 Stakes winners worldwide, including 59 G1 winners. They include AUGUSTE RODIN, SATONO ALADDIN, SAXON WARRIOR, TOSEN STARDOM, REAL IMPACT, FIERCE IMPACT etc
• The DEEP IMPACT / STORM CAT cross that features in this filly's pedigree has produced 14 Gr1 winners worldwide. 

Considering this fillies STRIKING PHYSIQUE, and being a ½ to a G1 winner, we believe she holds SIGNIFICANT RESIDUAL VALUE  as a broodmare once her racing career is concluded.

Her Plan

This filly has an impeccable temperament, vetted cleanly, and we are delighted to get her.  

Given the dry conditions in Australia at the moment, we have decided to keep both fillies in New Zealand for the next couple of months. They will have a good spell now before being educated in about 2 months in Australia.
